Jackson General Hospital worked with HED as it underwent a transformation to create a modern setting for critical services like emergency surgery and inpatient nursing. HED designed the two-story facility to replace, via demolition, an original section of the hospital. The concept for the new facility joins the existing facility on the first level, and the junction between new and existing spaces is carefully planned to ensure seamless functional integration. This approach allows for phased interior design upgrades throughout the hospital overtime.
