Across the street from Disneyland and adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center, the former Anabella hotel was ideally situated for both vacationers and business travelers, but its limited accommodations couldn’t keep pace with Anaheim’s burgeoning tourist market. Recognizing the potential of the location—and the limitations of the current building—the Wincome Group chose to replace the existing structure with a four diamond-rated luxury hotel.
As Executive Architect, HED helped to craft the vision for a new hotel that would accommodate two very distinct audiences—tourists vacationing at Disneyland, and business travelers attending conferences at the Convention Center. Designed by Michael Hong Architects, the Westin Anaheim Resort strikes a balance between contemporary chic and family-friendly, offering something for everyone and setting a new benchmark for luxury in Anaheim, helping to further establish the city as a top-tier destination for both business and pleasure.
