As the only National Cancer Institute Research Program in the region, St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor hospital had a growing need to expand and enhance the facility’s nationally-renowned cancer research program. The new state of the art infusion center is spread across an exterior-facing glass wall, bathed in natural light and featuring private bays with room for guests and loved ones to accompany the patient. These adjustments create a more reflective and comfortable atmosphere for patients, who can receive treatment peacefully in private while overlooking an outdoor, enclosed healing garden rather than in the crowded interior of a hospital, making St. Joe’s one of the most attractive cancer centers in the state.
