Lauren Roller Named Outstanding Young Engineer of the Year
HED congratulates Lauren Roller, PE, who has been selected as the 2018 Outstanding Young Engineer of the Year by The Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD).

The award recognizes outstanding contributions by an engineer under age 35 to the benefit of the engineering community. The award was presented on June 20 during the ESD Annual Dinner at Ford Field.

"Lauren has an incredible balance of expertise and attitude. We live in a highly iterative world in healthcare design, having a structural engineer that gets it and can do an incredible job doing her own thing is the best an architect can hope for from an engineer/colleague," said David Jaeger, Principal and Studio Leader. "Healthcare design is complex and requires a deep technical background and substantial interpersonal skills, Lauren is wonderful at both. She has built a reputation in the office and outside of remarkable professionalism and is a model for our profession."

Congratulations Lauren!
