David Klug joins HED as Mechanical Engineering Leader in Los Angeles
David Klug, PE, HBDP, a seasoned engineering leader with a reputation for leadership in conceptual design, energy modeling and optimization, design development, equipment specifications and selection, sustainability, and green buildings, has joined HED as an Associate Principal in its Los Angeles office. Serving as the Mechanical Engineering Leader, the move represents a focus on continuing to deepen the firm’s commitment to integrated engineering and architectural services nationwide to provide greater design excellence in both form and function to all HED clients.
With over a decade of increased responsibility and experience in the A/E industry, David has led in a variety of roles from studio leadership, project management, life cycle study and value engineering roles, defining applicable systems and mechanical design selection, and material and equipment selection for a wide variety of clients and multi-million dollar projects. Prior to joining HED, David was most recently leading engineering teams as the Energy Studio Leader in P2S Inc.’s Long Beach, CA, office where he led projects such as major building renovations and infrastructure design and energy projects, among others.
